‘Standby - helping meetings to go well
Since 1983 the Standby team has delivered a broad range of remote admin support services and secretarial assistance to businesses, charities, clubs and other organisations, including the provision of minute taking services.
Good minutes provide a functional and meaningful working record of a meeting, recording the attendees, the process and the outcome, meaning that all aspects of the meeting become accountable.
The managing director, Susi Cernoch, has been secretary, chairperson and disaffected attendee at over one thousand meetings during her thirty year career in administration, giving her plenty of time to identify what makes a good chairman and a productive meeting, and to bemoan a dearth of good minute takers.
In response to this she runs one day workshops on how to chair better meetings and create effective and useful minutes. These courses can be delivered at any location for numbers of 8 or more. The course planner can be seen here.
